The Nigeria LNG Limited has announced the ‘Call for Entries’ for the 2019 Nigeria Prize for Literature. The prize, now in its fifteenth year is sponsored by the NLNG, to celebrate excellence in literary accomplishments in the nation.

The prize rotates every year among four literary genres – prose fiction, poetry, drama and children’s literature. This year, the competition is for Children’s Literature. The competition is open to only Nigerian writers irrespective of their place of residence. It carries a reward of one hundred thousand US dollars ($100,000.00).

Also, to encourage literary criticism, the Advisory Board of The Nigeria Prize for Literature will

reward one critic with the sum of N1,000,000.00, and is opened to literary critics from all over the world.
